This video presents the production process of the ICEB for the construction of a mock‐up to be tested on a shaking table.


 
 
 

Shear wall tests in laboratory

In this video an in-plane laboratory test of two interlocking compressed earth block walls is presented. The aim is to determine the shear capacity of dry-stack ICEB masonry.


 
 
 

Construction process of small compressed earth block house

This video presents the construction process of a small dry-stack interlocking compressed earth block house. This house was used as a mock-up for the shaking table test at the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering of Portugal (LNEC) in Lisbon.


 
 
 

Shaking table test

This video presents the shaking table test made to an unscaled mock-up of an interlocking compressed earth block house. The test was carried out at the facilities of the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering of Portugal (LNEC) in Lisbon.
