The main interest of study has been numerical study of concrete at early ages regarding phenomenae such as thermo-hygral-mechanical couplings, concrete properties evolution during hydration (both thermal and mechanical), creep and shrinkage.



Development of new experimental techniques for evaluation of concrete mechanical properties since early ages. Some of the main research topics in this field involve the continuous monitoring of concrete E-modulus since casting (EMM-ARM) and the experimental study of concrete under restrained thermal/shrinkage deformations.
